Product Description

UNS N06690/Inconel 690/2.4642 Bar/Rod/Wire/Forging/Plate/Strip Ideal For Chemical Processing Marine Aerospace And Power Industries

UNS N06690 (Inconel 690 / 2.4642) is a high-chromium, nickel-based alloy known for its excellent resistance to high-temperature oxidation, corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It is widely used in industries such as nuclear power, chemical processing, and heat treatment equipment. Available in various forms, including bar, rod, wire, forging, plate, and strip, Inconel 690 offers superior mechanical strength and stability under extreme environments. Its high chromium content provides exceptional resistance to oxidizing environments, making it ideal for applications requiring long-term service in aggressive conditions. The alloy maintains excellent metallurgical stability, making it a preferred choice for components in steam generators, furnace parts, and heat exchangers. It is also weldable and can be fabricated using standard techniques.
