Hastelloy B-2 N10665/2.4617/ NS3202 Plate/Strip/Bar/Rod/Forging Suitable For Acidic Environments In Heat Recovery Systems
Hastelloy B-2 (UNS N10665 / W.Nr. 2.4617 / NS3202) is a nickel-molybdenum alloy known for its excellent resistance to reducing environments such as hydrochloric, hydrobromic, and sulfuric acids. It has exceptional resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and knife-line attack, making it ideal for chemical processing industries. Available in plate, strip, bar, rod, and forging forms, Hastelloy B-2 maintains high strength and toughness across a wide temperature range. It is not recommended for oxidizing media but performs exceptionally in controlled environments. The alloy is easily fabricated and welded, though care must be taken during heat treatment. Typical applications include reactors, heat exchangers, and piping in aggressive chemical service.
